Wild Belle: Catch them on tour!

Swanky, swaying, and hip shaking Natalie Bergman of Wild Belle pleased the crowd at the ever so popular music venue Bottom of The Hill this November. Natalie had the full house of hipster folk absorbed in her noticeably soulful voice. Dressed head to toe in a fashionable all black ensemble and trendy ombre styled hair, she became the epitome of cool.  It’s safe to say, no one could take their eyes off of her. If it wasn’t for her occasional glance at her band mates, including her brother, Elliot Bergman, I’m not sure any attention would have been spent on them. Don’t take these men for granted though, they really know how to bust out the tunes. Elliot who seemed to be isolated on the keyboard would occasionally whip out his saxophone and perform a sumptuous solo. His past experience in the music industry sparks quite some interest. He was the band leader of NOMO, a jazz group of eight multi-instrumentalists who formed together during the end of Elliot’s career at the University of Michigan. His studies led to many curiosities in genres of music, including afrobeat. Wild Belle injects many of these afrobeat hooks into their songs, creating an unheard of yet pleasing union. It will be interesting to hear the rest of their funky beats in an album that will be released sometime in March of 2013. In the meantime, they will be playing on tour all around the U.S. gathering a monumental amount of fans.
